Replaced the part (#72131AG11A), about $65 from my local dealership.But anyway I found out recently my heater doesn't work on my b9 a5 coupe. Or rather it only works on the passenger side. Drivers side blows ice cold air no matter what you do, only way to stop it is turn off the HVAC completely which then steams up the inside of the car. Booked in under warranty in 2 weeks just wondering if there's a quick fix ...

I tried changing the temperature on the passenger side and it still only blows cold. I synced and un-synced the climate control with no luck.125,000 MILES. Dec 18, 2016 · ok, thanks. there is a blend door motor which controls the heat on the passenger side. it is a very common failure. it is located behind the glove box and is about 4 inches square with an electrical connector and 3 attaching screws. you need to pull of the knee bolster under the dash, couple of screws and the glove box to access. you can get the motor at any parts store as they are that common.A heat pump requires regular maintenance to work properly because it doesn't burn fuel to produce heat.
