Bogarin trail is rainforest that was re-started and developed from swamp land in 2000 when the Bogarin family decided to preserve a piece of land for the wildlife around La Fortuna. The trails are 1.5 miles long and flat so they are easily accessible to anyone. My husbans and I were fortunate to have William Bogarin as our nature guide.The trails and flat and well maintained, the walking is easy. Pay attention to the map as the ponds are worth the visit and there is also a very nice restaurant near the trail with an outdoor bar facing that side. I recommend the Passion Fruit Mojito! Had a fabulous visit here a few weeks back. Saw all kinds of wildlife including the beautiful sloths and was assisted in getting some good photos and videos. The trail was nice and felt like you were in the middle of a jungle. Perfect place for bird watchers too as there is so many!
